you share inspiration!
if someone inspires you, you go and share and inspire others as well.
i've been feeling a bit lost because of some recent turn of events in my life. have you ever had a point in your life where you ask yourself, "do i go this way, or that way?" or "what should i do? what will i choose?" i think we all have had that point at one, at a couple, or many times in our lives. i've been feeling that, and i was waiting for something to jump at me to speak to me to inspire me.
today i woke up and this is the first headline i saw..
steve jobs resigns as ceo of apple. i'm a mac user and i've always been in awe of how they innovate and revolutionize, and it came as a shock that at the young (yes, young) age of 56, with a net worth of over 8 billion US dollars, steve jobs decides to retire as chief executive officer of apple, and instead serve as chairman of the board, director, and apple employee.
in his resignation letter, he simply stated..
in itself such a noble act that is hardly seen today, his admitting his capabilities and limitations makes him so much more inspiring. tao lang din talaga si steve jobs.
still in my search of that "inspiration", this headline prompted me to watch once again his 2005 stanford commencement address.
"you can't connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking backwards. you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. you have to trust in something. gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever."
"sometimes life's gonna hit you in the head with a brick. don't lose faith."
"i am convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that i loved what i did. you've got to find what you love. and that is as true for work, as it is for your lovers."
"as with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it."
"remembering that i'll be dead soon is the most important tool i've ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. because almost everything — all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure - these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important."
so many people and events (both good and bad) in his life pushed him further and inspired him. and he shared that inspiration to others. and he shares that inspiration every single day someone uses anything he invented.
be inspired and share the inspiration to others!
dearest mr. steve jobs, the world can't thank you enough for the inspiration.
